Saint George's 3rd Annual Walk-A-Thon:
The St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church Third Annual Walk-A-Thon is a fun fundraising activity
that will support two important charitable causes. The Walk-A-Thon will benefit the Whittingham
Cancer Center located at Norwalk Hospital. In addition, your donations and proceeds from the
event will assist in the construction of the St. George Community Center; a building which will
enable the youth of the church’s community to learn about their culture and religion. This
year's 4-mile Walk-A-Thon will begin at 9 AM on Saturday, September 20th.
By sponsoring the St. George Walk-A-Thon, you'll be supporting the Whittingham Cancer Center for cancer
research and outreach programs. You’ll also help with the construction of the St. George
Community Center which will house all of the various church programs. In addition, it will include
classrooms for the religious and Greek classes as well as offices for the church recreation. Most of all,
the community center will be a means of bringing our youth together.
Please take this opportunity to support the St. George Walk-A-Thon. Your donation will do so much to help
the St. George community. Most importantly, your gift will be a tremendous help in the battle of cancer in
the Norwalk community.

Please send back the application form by September 1, 2008 to allow adequate time to order and print T-Shirts
for all walkers. We cannot guarantee you a T-Shirt if paperwork is not returned by the specified date.
